I am here to share one of the mysteries of the universe: EQUIVALENT FRACTIONS!
Fractions with different de-nom-inators are tricky. We must re-name-inate them.
Fractions that show the same amount but have different names are called "equivalent fractions."
All these fractions show the same amount; they are equivalent fractions.
We can use the Identity Property of Multiplication to re-name-inate fractions: Anything multiplied by 1 is itself!
1 can be represented with lots of different fractions!
