- Carol and her mom meet Mr. Linden in a general store. Carol asks Mr. Linden if she can come over to his library.
- CLIMAX
- This books story is changing!
- The book is strange and I do not think you should read it. You know some books are best left untouched and unread.
- Carol sneaks in into Mr. Lindens house to see him reading. When he gets up Carol goes to read his book.
- Falling action
- OMG! Was Mr. Linden reading this book the night he died!
- Carol goes to read the book her and Mr. Linden are reading. In shock the books plot and words are different.
- Resolution
- I will never finish this book, because if Mr. Linden didn't then I will bet you I won't!
- Carol goes and asks Mr. Linden about the book, Mr. Linden says "Some books are best left unread, unopened". Carol is very shocked and confused.
- Carol finds out that Mr. Linden has died. Carol finds the mysterious book that her and Mr. Linden both read under Mr. Linden's pillow.
- Carol thought she would finish this book. Carol then realizes how Mr. Linden was probably reading this book for years until the day he died. Carol realizes the book will never be finished, so she gives up.
