Rama and Sita

- There was once a Prince called Rama and his Wife Sita. Rama was to be king when his father died.
- However his evil stepmother tricked his Father into sending Rama and Sita away to the forest.
- One day Sita saw a beautiful gold deer in the forest and begged Rama to catch it. Rama finally agreed and went off to catch the deer.
- When Sita was on her own the evil 10 headed demon, Ravana, swooped down and kidnapped her. When Rama finally caught the deer it turned to a demon and Rama realised he had been tricked so ran back. Sita was gone!
- Rama followed a trail of jewelry that Sita had left him and met Hanuman the monkey king. They searched everywhere for Sita and Hanuman found her on an island . He returned to Rama and they made a bridge with rocks to cross over the sea and rescue Sita.
- The reign of the demons was over and Rama and Sita returned to their own country to rule.
