- Life hasn't really been easy lately. I haven't seen my Maw or Paw since I was taken from the ship. This man talking in a language I couldn't understand pointed at me and took me to his plantation. But instead of letting me in his huge house. He forced me and some strangers into the stuffy shed

- This is my plantation, where I grow all of my Tobacco. I of course do not do all of the work, so I have multiple slaves and indentured servants working 24/7. I sell my Tobacco to England and that's how I make my living. I occasionally vote since I am able to, but my wife is unfortunately not able to with me
- I usually stay inside the house and do house chores, I don't support him enslaving African-Americans, but we need to make a living anyways.
- Unlike my father, I am a free African-American. My mother was not an African-American and that is why I am so lucky to not be enslaved. Although I am free, I cannot vote, but I can own land and use my own money. Things could be much much worse
- I've never met my grandfather, but I can only assume that he got in huge trouble for having kids with my grandmother
