- Well, hello everyone in INFO 5405! My name is Susan K. Mitchell. Scrappy here and I have been on our adventure at UNT together as I get my MS-LS degree for a year now. Let's give you an introduction & see what's up with me now!
- Here I am with my hubby of 28 years, Joey. We live in Kingwood, TX (north of Houston) and have two grown daughters. We LOVE the empty nest life!
- Wait, how the heck did I get into your introduction? I was watching football. And why is there an eagle on the sofa?
- As far as hobbies go, we USED to ride a Harley. But my hubby wrecked it last year. Luckily HE wasn't too wrecked. We had to find new hobbies.

- I'm not entirely sure you needed to share that.(sniff) Bye Harley. You were awesome dude.
- Susan, I was thinking like Def Leppard in Dallas ... I don't think THIS qualifies as a short getaway concert trip. Wait, you brought the eagle? Australia is sort of picky about bringing in animals.
- Now, we enjoy going out to eat at new places, going on short getaway trips, & going to concerts.
- Yeah, I feel like you don't need me for the rest of this. I'm going to take this bus & go finish the football game. Bye honey. love you!
- I was a 4th grade RELA teacher for 13 years. But THIS year, I started my new job as an elementary librarian/media specialist at Groves Elementary! Whoo hoo - my dream job! Come on Scrappy. Let's show them the library!
- My school is INSANELY big with nearly 1,300 students! I see every student every week. It is crazy busy but amazing. This is the job I want to have until I retire. I am excited about this course because collection development is right where I am in my first year. I love my giant library & want it to be the best it can be to encourage literacy & creative thinking. Makerspaces are a huge part of that for me! Now, Scrappy & I need to get busy booking & building! Bye!
