- In 1804, The French had big plans for the Louisiana Colony because they were excited to expand the empire, but because of some other issues, the French did not want Louisiana anymore. France sold Louisiana colony to the U.S., and from the perspective of the U.S. in the Louisiana Purchase was significant because the U.S. could increase the land for their nation, and it increases the opportunities to increase the wealth, and their population. For the French, their perspective was significant because disease and death were a big problem in their country because of the over population and there was not enough land to settle on in Louisiana Colony.

- In 1831, the U.S kicked out the Indian people and sent them on the Trail of Tears. Many of them died, and it was important from the U.S.’s perspective so they could expand their territory into lands belonging to the five Indigenous tribes. From Indian's perspective, it was significant because they thought it was unfair the US kicked them out of their home.
- Mexican War

- In 1835, the U.S. wanted to annex Texas to expand their land. But the Mexicans wanted Texas as well, so they decided to start a war. And from the Mexican’s perspective, it was important to them because they wished to attract settlers from the populates states of Coahuila and Texas. From the US's perspective, they planned to increase the nation by including Texas to their Country. Texans' perspective was significant because they were excited to declare independence from Mexico.

- In 1844, James Polk let the British believe America would go to war to control all of Oregon Country. What he really wanted was to extend the 49th parallel border to the Pacific. From James's perspective, it was important because he wanted to extend US across North America from the Atlantic to the Pacific. From Britain's perspective, it was significant because Oregon Territory stretched between California and British Territory. British thought Oregon was theirs.

- 1846 Santa Anna, the US and President James Polk were included in the Mexican war, and from US's perspective, it was important because the Americans were struck with the idea of Manifest Destiny. From the Mexicans perspective of the Mexican war was significant because they thought Texas was not an individual state.

- In 1890, Major Samuel M., surrounded an encampment of Sioux Indians near Wounded Knee Creek. The rest of the Lakota tribe were escorted 5 miles westward to Wounded Knee Creek. Samuel's perspective was significant because all he wanted was territory. Native ppl's perspective was important because they thought it was unfair for the Americans to take their land and kill their people. They saw the "white men" evil.
