- Queen Igraine was killed shortly after the child's birth...
- She sacrificed her life so that the baby could be born.
- Shortly after the Queen's death, King Urther tragically died in battle...
- The same night as the King's death, Merlin snuck into the castle and took the baby...
- Don't worry child, I will take you to a safe place.
- Merlin made the quest to a quiet village where he knew the child would be safe.
- He knocked on the door of Sir Ector with hopes that he would adopt the boy...
- Sir Ector gladly took in the child, even though he already had a child of his own named Kay.
- I shall name him Arthur.
- Years later, when Arthur was a young boy, Merlin returned to visit.
- I suppose...
- Would you please tutor my sons?
- Merlin noticed that Arthur enjoyed the lessons, however Kay had no interest...
- A few years passed by, and Kay became a knight.
- Congratulations son.
- Arthur, I have to end the lesson early, there is something I must do.
- Merlin used his powers to make a sword in stone appear in the square that night.
- The people need hope...
- The one who pulls out this sword will become the true King of England!
- Many villagers tried to pry the sword out of the stone, however none of them were successful.
- Arthur, there is a tournament being held in London, we must go.
- The tournament is about to begin, Arthur grab my sword!
- It was looser then I thought it would be!
- The Duke of Cornwall declared a tournament to be held one month away to determine who would be the one to pull out the sword.
- Great news!
- Sir Ector, Sir Kay, and Arthur all rode off to London to attend the tournament.
- I don't see it but I will go look!
- Arthur started to panic because he could not find his brother's sword anywhere. He ran around the square and locked eyes with the sword in stone...he decided to take a shot at it.
- Arthur succeeded at pulling out the sword in stone and rushed back to give it to Sir Kay.
- I found you a sword brother!
- Where did you get this?!? Take me to where you found it!
- Arthur lead Sir Kay and Sir Ector to the marble block where he pulled out the sword in stone moments prior.
- Arthur placed the sword back in the stone, shortly after a crowd began to form...
- Yeah let's see it!
- Alright.
- If you can put it back so easily pull it out again!
- This continued over and over until suddenly Merlin arrived coming to Arthur's defence.
- You have a true heart Arthur, that is why you were able to pull out that sword!
- The sword has spoken! Arthur is the true King of England, and the true son of King Urther!
