  •  extends from the long wavelength, or red, end of the visible-light range to the microwave range. Invisible to the eye, it can be detected as a sensation of warmth on the skin.
  • Radio waves- best-known for their use in communication technologies, such as television, mobile phones and radios. These devices receive radio waves and convert them to mechanical vibrations in the speaker to create sound waves.
  • Microwaves- These waves are themselves called microwaves because they're short (and micro- means "small"), similar to radio waves.

  •  X-ray imaging creates pictures of the inside of your body. The images show the parts of your body in different shades of black and white.
