Sometimes in the year 1939 during world war 2, in the little town of Winterswijk, there lived a Jewish little girl named Annie together with her sister Sinni, Rachel, and their parents Ies and Sophie De Leeuw.
EXPOSITION
The Nazi Party was convinced that Jews were bad who had to be rejected by society.
RISING ACTION
At some point in the story, the family was being separated. they lost their mother, the father was taken away and the three daughters were put in hiding, but the eldest was separate from the other two sisters.
CLIMAX
At the beginning of the separation, the two girls were struggling but then they saw their sister which made them stronger. They started to lose hope until the Canadians came with tanks throughout the streets.
FALLING ACTION
The doll stays on Miss Stickley's desk throughout the year as a reminder that it takes all kinds of pilgrims to make Thanksgiving. In addition, she wanted to meet her mother if she could.
