- Yep. But let's go chat at the water cooler. It's quieter there.
- So are we finally tackling the ETW Data challenge?
- Well, not exactly...

- This week, we found out it's not just HR & the Analytics Teams who need ETW data... There's SEVERAL business areas needing ETW Data for different initiatives and projects...
- DTC
- TMP
- HRBP
- Air MI
- TECH
- The challenge is that there's no one source of the truth...
- ...I know!! It's like trying to buy mayonnaise, there are so many kinds, even though they're all mayonnaise. SHEESH!
- Yep. For starters, we have the Flex system...
- ...but it only has those ETWs who are paid through Flex.
- And then we have the Pay & Time system...
- ...but it doesn't have all the demographic info.
- We have Active Directory...
- ...but it doesn't have those ETWs who don't have an NT account.
- There's the badge system...
- ...but an ETW might not have a badge.
- Ugh, so many disparate sources...no single source of the truth... [HEAVY SIGH]
- Did you know that a good chunk of AIR MI and DTC employees are ETWs?
- Uh, yeah. I'm a data expert, remember?
- Of course I remember, HR Buddy #92. So what can we do about our ETW Data challenges?
- Hmm...well, for starters, we're gonna need buy in.
- Right. Good thinking #92! This endeavor needs a vision, sponsor, strategy, plan, and business unit reps + tech.
- Yep. And don't forget funding $$
- Right now, there are groups strategizing how they'll pull the Data.
- Oh no!
- Oh no is right! If everyone is in their own SILO, pulling the ETW Data...
- ...then different business units will report different numbers out to executive leadership. YIKES!!
- Ok. Wanna reserve a conference room, gather some awesome colleagues, and ponder how we can make this topic visible to leadership?
- Sure. There are numerous downstream impacts, but today, the challenge is a reasonable size to tackle. We still have time.
