- How the school started

- in 1961 the FMDM sisters where invited to start a new parish school in Nathalia.The sisters that were involved were Mother Mary, Sr Gertude, Sr Cecilia and Sr lauentia.
- Our 3 houses/saints
- In 1961 the original school was built but in 1963 and 1964 it was extended and has slowly gotten bigger. Now after years of changes not that much is left from the original building.
- How we show our Franciscan faith

- In 1977 they split into two schools a primary school (ST Francis) and a secondary college (St Mary's).Over the years the school has gotten bigger and bigger because of the amount of students.The principals are nolonger nuns
- Motto and logo
- Our 3 houses are St Francis (yellow), St clare (blue) and St Elizabeth (red).hear is one thing about them St Francis embraced poverty and to live the life of the gospel,St Clare saw what Francis was doing and started to follow in his foot steps and St Elizabeth spent enormous sums on almsgiving, founding hospitals and on in providing for orphans.

- We show our Franciscan faith by teaching the words of God and Jesus.We also show the values of St Francis witch are humility, service, peacemaking, prayer and working together.
- The Dove in our logo is symbolic of the holy spirit.The motto "thy will be done" is the same words that mary said in response at the Annunication.
