Today we are learning about God!

Guru Nanak was sleeping under a tree when the sun came and he was about to get burnt. Then a Cobra came and flared up so it covered Guru Nanak Nanak said that even when he was sleeping, he was with God.

Wow! Nanak is a very specail boy!

Nanak grew up and had his own family. He still wished for a world free of war and he went to the river everyday to wash and bathe. One day Nanak went into the river to bathe but did not come out of the river after going underwater. Several minutes past and people began to get worried so they called his family and they all searched for Nanak.

Early in the morning of Nanak's disappearence he came out of the area that he was in and every one was in shock. He was extremely happy and said that God had given him a vision and a message to spread.

who God really was

Nanak began to speak with the Holy Men in the forest and listened carefully to what they said.

Nanak made four long journeys and people began to call him 'Guru' meaning teacher. His message was that 'God has made everything and treats everyone as equals. God loves everyone - it doesn't matter to him what they look like, or how much money they have or wheather they are a girl or a boy or wheather they're old or young. God wants poeple to live their lives peacefully with each other, as he intended.'
