- Harry Potter wasn't a normal boy, Voldemort killed his parents. When Voldemort tried to kill Harry, Harry was left with nothing but a scar. He was named the Boy Who Lived.

- Hagrid, Dumbeldore, and Mcgonagall are left with Harry. They leave Harry to his aunt and uncle who treat him terribly and tell him his parents died in a car crash.
- Harry Potter is a young boy with a scar on his forehead and wears round glasses. He has lived with his aunt, Petunia, and his uncle,Vernon, since his parents died. He his mistreated by the Dursley's.
- Mysterious letters from Hogwarts begin arriving for Harry. They are worrying Mr. Dursley, who doesn't want Harry knowing about the letters. Eventually, letters keep arriving through every single crack of the house. Mr. Dursley decided to go to a secluded island shack to avoid this from continuing. On Harry's eleventh birthday Hagrid enters the shack and gives Harry the admissions letter to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Harry learns that the Dursley's didn't tell him that he was a wizard.
- Harry is introduced to a new life with wizards and strange creatures. He makes friends with the red head Ron Weasley and the genius Hermoine Granger on the train to Hogwarts.
- Harry is famous at Hogwarts because he survived an encounter with Voldemort. At Hogwarts, Harry is Dumbeldore's favorite, but is hated by Professor Snape and Draco Malfoy.
