- Oh no, That makes so much sense. Thank you for sharing that with me. Now that I know, We can work together to find the time for John to improve his learning. Assigning homework helps students develop their responsibility skills. In addition, homework is meant to be practised, and making mistakes is perfectly fine. Some students get hung up trying to avoid errors, but this isn't Homework's purpose. Even though there might not be enough time for you to do the Homework with your son, have him do it on his own when he gets home, and maybe you can check it once he goes to bed, and I will be able to assist him with any mistakes once he gets to class. We have free choice time every day for 30 minutes where the students can free play. During this time, it would be beneficial for John to practice reading on RazKids and writing and making sentences with his spelling words. That way, he can finish his Homework in class, and I will be there to give him guidance and assistance.
- Seesaw is a great tool that we can use to share John's spelling test results. I will start posting his weekly test results on Seesaw, where you can see his test scores. That way, you will be updated on how he performs each week, and we will also have a record of his progress throughout the year. The App will also allow for me and you both to comment positively on your child's test results and activities.
