The conversation that they had was their long discussion was that the soul could not arrive through human knowledge at the idea of God, but that it needed to be instructed by the Prophets who, inspired by the Holy Ghost, had known God and could make him known today.
- This conversation had sparked a light in Justin's heart, which lead to his conversion. He discovered a deep fascination with the prophets. He reflected on all their teachings and lessons and had found that the philosophy behind it was the truth. This lead to his journies to learn more about Christianity.
- He later journeyed to Ephesus, an ancient city in Turkey’s Central Aegean region to interview Rabbi Tarfon (in Greek is "Trypho") during the war of Bar-Cocheba. This lead to The Dialogue with Trypho, an attempt to demonstrate that a new covenant has superseded the old covenant of God.
