The Burning Bush

- Moses was walking to the Mountain of Ho'reb to get some grass for his sheep.
- There is a bush on fire but it isn't spreading.
- How weird? I should go have a closer look.
- Stop, don't come closer take off your shoes as you are standing on holy ground.
- Suddenly the bush started talking to him.
- When Ho'reb realised that is was God he took off his shoes, he also covered his face.
- Egypt has been suffering and so I am going to free them, you will be the one that will lead my people out of Egypt and take them to Ca'naan.
- Tell them that the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob has sent you.
- I just don't have the ability to do this. The Israelite's will question who I am. I will not have all the answers and they will not respect me.
- Please send some one else!
- Okay, I can do this. God will be with me.
- God reassures Moses that he will have all his power and performed two miracles.He changed Moses' staff into a serpent and then back again and Moses' hand 'leprous' and then restores it again.
