The trapping season went well this year don't you think? We have a lot of hides to sell at the Rendezvous .
Summer-Early Fall is spent trapping!
Yes it was a great season. Fall will be here soon though so we ought to keep pushing until the cold sets in.
I have found a mink in our trap. Not as good as a beaver but I'll take it. Anything to prepare for the rendezvous.
Fall
Oh thank you kind sir! Me and my fellow Mountain men wouldn't have found water if it weren't for your guidance.
The Fall was spent wrapping up the trapping Season. Here I have showcased the realtions with freindly natives
As for my Guidance don't think anything of it. My tribes and myself have been walking this land for years it is simply another mere walk
Winter
With the lack of ways to stay warm and the harsh temperatures us mountain men don't trap during the winter. We would freeze to death!
The mountain men were heavily dependant on the weather. The weather would dictate when the season began and ended. The summer was peak time to trap because the weather was nice but at the first signs of snow and cold, the season would end.
Spring
The spring would be the start of the trapping season depending on temperatures.
If the fall was nice weather the mountain men would continue on trapping but if it was not good weather and happened to be cold the fall would close the season. Above I showcased a peaceful relation between a native and Mountain Man.
Summer Rendezvous
Oh the Summer Rendezvous is the Greatest joy of the year!
The Winters were harsh for the Mountain men because they had no way to remain warm except for staying home. Their trapping routes would get snow-packed and without the modern inventions like snowmobiles and fancy coats they were forced to stop trapping in the winter.
Note from the Creater:
Notes from the creator of this storyboard: The square boxes that don't seem to come from anywhere are like authors notes or a narration of the scene. And the speech is color coded for you to see the order in which the conversation took place. Yellow is first, Purple is second, Blue is third and pink is fourth. Enjoy! :)
The weather would determine if the spring kicked off the season or not. If it did the Mountain men would start trapping again and if it did not the spring would be spent like the winter.
The Season has begun!
Yes! We must stay warm through these brutal nights.
The summer rendezvous was the best time of year for not only the Mountain men but for everyone else who wanted to come. The Mountain men would be there to sell pelts and have fun. The festival also included music, drinking, dancing, and races of all kinds. Not only was it for trappers but anyone would come!
Indeed it is. But as for this Pelt I will give you $2 for it and perhaps buy you a drink tonight!
I have just come from France and I must say it is Amazing!
