  • There are different ways to train your muscles. There is cardiovascular training, which focuses on your body's ability to get blood and oxygen to the muscles. Then there is resistance training which is improving a specific muscle group through resistance to something. Finally, there is flexibility training which is your body's ability to move a join through its full range of motion. There are many different exercises that work to improve these aspects.
  • There are many different tests that assess a person's fitness and health. To assess someone's health you can get your blood pressure checked, check your pulse, BMI, weight, and circumference measurements. To check your fitness you can calculate yourVO2, take the push-up test, take the curl-up test, and take the sit and reach test. If you take all these tests you can get a base understanding of your physical capabilities.
  • FITT stands for Fitness, Intesity, Time, Type. You use this principle when planning a workout. When planning a workout you want to think of FITT because then you won't overwork yourself and you can evenly distribute what you need to work on.
