- This is Redwood news. Today we will be talking about how mankind has affected these big trees. Now we go to Katy our tree specialist.
- Hi my name is Katy. Today we will be looking at the amazing redwoods. Sadly these trees have been affected greatly by human expansion.
- I am standing under an actual redwood. This tree is big enough to fit a car through it. They grow up to 360 feet tall. Since they are so big people would cut them down for wood and space to build.
- How tall is it? How many tourists come to see it each year?
- It has been fun. Now I am heading back to the station.
- Some people live in these trees to stop them from being cut down.
- How people help?
- You can visit these trees in wildlife parks in California. You can support them by raising awareness in your community.
