- Cause
- Sparta marches on Athens
- Athens bunkers down inside of the walls of the city
- The war started because the Spartans feared that Athens was getting too powerful and that they didn't even acknowledge that they sacrificed 300 men to help save Athens
- Plague
- Sparta marches on Athens ready for war, knowing that they are stronger and more skilled than them so they are very confident with this attack.
- Sparta retreats
- Athens bunkers down in their city walls knowing that they would lose the fight. They waited and hoped for Sparta to give up. They were in there for 2 years.
- Athens Attack
- The Athenians while hunkering inside their own city, caught a plague. This wouldn't have been very bad but they were trapped in from the Spartans, so the plague wiped out 1/3 of the Athens people. Because this plague was that bad, Athens and Sparta were at peace for a period of time.
- Sparta retreated thinking that Athens was too weak and that they already have won.
- Athens is really mad after being trapped in their own city for 2 years and losing 1/3 of their population. They send 20,000 men to one of Sparta's islands where one of Spartans allies are. Athens gets destroyed and lose the war.
