- "I received a warning from the goddess Circe that this path we're taking is home to the creature called siren. These creatures are a sailor's worst nightmare because when they sing out to him, it causes his mind to envision something that isn't there. Circe has proposed that I should plug kneaded beeswax in all crew's ears so that none of of y'all should hear the song. She spoke that if I wished to listen, then I shall let my men tie me in the lugger, so that I can't kill myself while hypnotized. "
- We have to prepare our station so when these siren creatures come, we can sail with confidence.
- I must carve and soften this beeswax so that when applied to my crew's ears, they won't fall under the spell the sirens cast.
- In this scene, Odysseus and his men continue their journey. Odysseus decides to tell the men of Circe’s warnings about the Sirens, whom they will soon encounter. He is certain that they can survive this peril if he keeps their spirits up.
- Beeswax for you, beeswax for you, and of course beeswax for you. None of my crew shall be harmed
- The crew walks to their positions and prepare their spot with their oars.

- Odysseus' crew tied him up on the middle of the back of the mast, , lashed to the mast,and took themselves again to rowing.
- When Odysseus' ship passes by, 2 sirens notice their ship and head over to enchant the men.
