In ancient Greece lived the Nemean lion whose skin was so tough that no sword or arrow could pierce it. The Nemean lion was twice the size of any other lion that would go and eat man before it would consider eating another animal.
Hercules was tasked to kill theNemean lion as one of his 12 labors, Hercules however didn't fear the Nemean lion, for no one but the gods could equal his strength which was said to be immense that he once held the sky up for the day.
Yet for all of his strength, Hercules was unable to kill the lion as it would flee when Hercules would try to hold it down, Hercules needed a plan to trap it
So Hercules came up with a plan he waited until the Nemean lion went back to its cave which had two entrances. Hercules use a boulder to block one entrances and stood outside the other ready to block the lion and fight it.
Hercule was finally able to hold it down and with his great strength choked the beast till it died. He then used the Nemean lion's claws to cut its pelt and wore it to signify his victory
With the death of the Nemean lion, Hercules had completed another of his twelve labors which brought him closer to making up for what he did.
