- A priest happened to be walking by. But when he saw the man he past on the other side of the road.
- When he fell under the hands of robbers. They stripped him, beat him half to death and left him on the side of the road.
- A man was walking on the road from Jerusalem to Jericho.
- "Go forth and do likewise."
- So to a Levite happened to be walking by. But when he saw the man he past on the other side.
- But a Samaritan, seeing the man took pity on him. He placed him on his own beast and took him to an inn and took care of him.
- Once Jesus had finished his parable he asked "Who is the one you think was the neighbour to the man who fell to the hands of robbers?"
