- I believe we should take a more friendly approach to this situation. If we just get them to oath to the constitution, create a new government, and abolish slavery then we would have a ideal punishment.
- Us Northerners believe that the South be harshly punished for their act. They should denounce the confederacy and pledge that they never support it.
- Our president is dead, is that not proof enough for the punishment of the South?!
