- Good Day Everyone! I am Doctor Silas and This is Health Station. Today we will be talking about non- Communicable diseases. Non-Communicable diseases are sicknesses that cannot be transmitted directly from one person to another. It could be genetic or you could have been born with it or your body could have created it by its own.
- PANAGBENGA!
- Today we will talk about how you can get or trigger non-communicable diseases just by going to festivals such as Panagbenga.
- Let me introduce you to Louis. This is louis Rodrigez and he has a fragile body and he has a lot of non-communicable diseases. Louis decided to go to Panagbenga knowing he has allergies to pollen and has asthma and more non-communicable diseases that he could trigger by going to the festival. He knows he has these things but he is very stubborn.
- By the morning at 9 AM, Louis went out and went to Session road where all the people were and where the festival was about to begin. When it had began the dancers started dancing and the festival was loud and fun.
- . Louis started to get excited and then he had hard time breathing. He was wheezing and immediately reached to his pocket to find for his inhaler. Fortunately, It was there. Louis had a mild asthma attack. He was exposed to pollen and he had triggered the attack. Even though this happened, He still chose to stay
- A few hours later, he decided to eat lunch. He went to a restaurant nearby. He went to eat Chicken with rice. He also decided to eat Halo-Halo for dessert. When he ordered the Halo-Halo he did not see that it had nuts in it. Louis was allergic to nuts and he did not see that there were nuts in the halo-halo. When it came, he immediately started to mix it and he started eating it. When he was almost done, that’s when his allergic reaction came in. His face started swelling and itching and his stomach started to hurt.
