- Setting: The 80s, gloomy skies everyday in a country side area. Tom and LIly are a recently married couple. The newly weds set out on a conquest to find sunlight for there honeymoon, as sunlight is rarely ever seen in these times.
- Climax
- Tom and Lily set off to find their sunshine, using a scooter for transportation. After traveling some distance from their home, their scooter breaks down. This leaves them stranded in a small town, delaying their search for sun.
- Falling Action
- In the small town, Tom and Lily decide to find a pub to rest for the day. Later, they find a man named Mr. Noakes, who got off of a bus with a lady named Mrs. Hatching. The elderly lady accidentally dropped her bag and Lily grabbed it for safe keeping. Meanwhile, Mr. Noakes and the couple dicusses that there is no sun around these parts, and where the Hatchings live, so the couple can return the bag.
- Resolution
- Tom and Lily go to return Mrs. Hatchings bag. They find that the Hatchings house is in a clearing in the woods, with clear and sunny skies! The couple return the bag, and can stay a while for their kindness. Tom and Lily abosrb the sun, and enjoy the wildlife for their honeymoon, and take well to the Hatchings hospitality. The couple heads back to the town after 3 days.
- Tom and LIily realize that Lily had left her dress at the Hatchings. Tom wonders if he should go back and retreive it, but then they run into Mr. Noakes. The grump asks them where they had been, and why they were so tan. Tom and Lily knew that he would exploit the sun if they went back and he found that sun was in the woods.
- Tom decides it is for the best if they do not go back for Lily's dress, as it would put the Hatchings in danger. The newly weds are quite happy with their honeymoon, as they met nice people and got to experience their sunshine. Tom and Lily picked up their scooter, and went home, excited to tell their grandchildren about the sun.
