- Simon is a very introverted character in the story. He just wants to fit in like the rest of the students at Bayview. He is very depressed. His enemies are Addy, Nate, Bronwyn, and Cooper.

- Bronwyn the brain, Simon the outsider, Nate the criminal, Cooper the jock, and Addy the princess get sent to detention for have phones in school. These phones do not belong to them. They were framed.

- During detention there is a loud bang. Everyone runs to the window and Mr.Avery runs outside to see what happened.Simon drinks something from a cup while no one pays attention.
- He has an allergic reaction . Cooper cant find any EPI pens around.The paramedics come in hopes that it is not too late.
- The theme of this story is to never judge a book by its cover. Simon ended up committing suicide . He framed everyone in detention and made everyone think they were suspects
