  • We are here to talk about delaying the election due to the national emergency we have in Canada happening right now.

  • I'm so happy and excited we finally get to go to Europe to see our relatives.
  • You are free to practice any religion or no religion at all and you are also able to express your religion. Also able to speak your mind , listen to views of others and express your opinion with it. We have the right to protest in Canada against a government action. But your freedoms are limited there are limits on how you can express your freedoms that it doesn't infringe on the rights of other people. Also you can't use hate speech or imply violence. Media also has freedoms like able to print and broadcast other information.

  • Canadians have the right to vote and run for public office but you must be 18 years or older. The government can not hold power for a unlimited amount of time the Charter of Right and Freedoms requires a election at least every 5 years. The election can be postponed if there is an national emergency. But if this happened there would have to be at least 2/3 of the House of Commons or Legislative Assembly must agree to delay the election.
  • Equality Rights
  • Miss can you please leave, children can't be in here unsupervised unless they have a parent or someone 18 years or older with them.
  • Canadians have the right to leave Canada, remain in, and enter Canada. Provinces can't discriminate against people because of where they lived. citizens and permanent residence have the right to work anywhere in Canada. However there can be certain laws that have rules for when a person can get health and welfare benefits.
  • Language Education Rights
  • I'm so happy that my child can attend a French speaking school because I did!
  • Everyone has the right for no one to search you or take away your personal belongings without clear legal reasons. Individuals also have the right to be treated fairly on every stage of the justice process. The Charter also protects people from unreasonable laws that could lead to harm of their physical safety, and could lead to imprisonment. Also the Charter protects people from getting arrested without it being backed up with good reason. If you get charged with an offence under provincial or federal law you have certain rights like innocent until proven guilty. You are also protected from unusual or cruel punishment.
  • Everyone has the right to be treated with the same respect, dignity, and consideration. Regardless of race, colour, religion, national or ethnic origin, age, sex, mental or physical disability. Everyone should be treated the same under the law also are entitled to the same benefits provided by the government and law. However the Charter does not require the government to treat people in exactly the same way because sometimes protecting equality means that you may have to adapt to rules or take account of people's difference.

  • Every territory and province has language minority communities. You can go to a French speaking school if you went to or have a child attending a primary or secondary French school in Canada. Also you have the right to go to an English speaking school if you attended or have a child attending a primary or secondary English school in Canada.
