- Oedipus learns of his prophecy about how he will kill his father and sleep with his mother.
- He leaves his "mother and father" and the city of Corinth thinking that the prophecy wont come true.
- He solves the Spinx riddle and saved the city of Thebes.
- He found out that he is the son of Laius and he was the one who killed his father before he got to Thebes not knowing it was his father.

- Creon the brother becomes king Oedipus asks to get exiled and with hesitantly Creon exiles him.
