  • It's a beautiful day and we are all in peace and harmony.
  • For forty years they were lost and wandered in the desert, learning through many mistakes, hardships and triumphs to trust more deeply in the God who had saved them. Yahweh was with them every step of their long journey, even when God seemed absent.

  • He has abandoned us for good!
  • Joshua, Moses' assistant, led the Israelites into Canaan, but it was not a peaceful entry. The people who already lived there were not happy to see the Israelites laying claim to the land. During these struggles, men and women called judges were periodically appointed to bring the people back to reliance on Yahweh.
  • We had this land promised to us!
  • Over a period of about two hundred years, the Israelites tribes, led by the judges, spread over the land just east of the Mediterranean sea. All the Israelite tribes worshiped Yahweh; that was what they all had in common.
  • Yahweh has blessed us yet again!
