Homesteaders began to file claims on the ranchers lands, and the ranchers needed that land because of their livestock. Ranchers would file claims on pieces of their land they liked the most so the homesteaders wouldn't want it . Sometimes they were violent towards them .

People normally come into these cities because they offer high payong jobs as well as you'd be able to get these valuable resources to sell them . New jobs opened up in mines to try to get these things.
