- Hi i'm Nel and i am going to tell you about what life was like in the paleolithic times
- By Jesus Gonzalez and Brinley Jones
- And I am Nick which i will tell you about life in the Neolithic times
- we domesticated animals which then we used them to helps peoples needs. also we planted seeds so that they would become crops which then would be turned into food.
- The way people got their food in the paleolithic times (ancient times) was they hunted animals and gathered plants. Also, they didn't have a stable food supply because they kept moving to look for food.
- This change was important because it allowed them to settle in on place, have a bigger community, and have a stable food supply.
- No more hunting or gathering. in the neolithic times( new times) we learned how to farm and domesticate animals, which is called agriculture.
- Communities in the paleolithic age were small. The reason why they were small was that they kept moving to search for food. Also, the population was a small band of 20 to 60 people.
- In the neolithic age they had way larger communities than they did in the paleolithic age which means they had over 60 people
- This change was important because since they had a lot of people they could have divided up the work and get it all done in the same amount of time.
- The reason why they had larger communities in the neolithic age was because they settled down in one spot and had a stable food supply.
- Back in the paleolithic age, they didn't have that many jobs. their main job was to find enough food to survive and they were nomads which meant they moved from place to place searching fo food.
- Because we had A lot people we could divide up the work and teach other people how to do the jobs. trading became more important because people settled down in communities and we could get new resources that we didn't have in our area
- this was important because if people had some responsibilities the community would be organized and have a lot of resources and food.
- In the Neolithic age the jobs were more advanced. Some of the jobs were tool makers,farmers,weavers,basket makers, and people who trade ( the business of buying and selling or exchanging items
- Back in the Neolithic age shelter was less advanced. The materials they used were not as strong as they are today . They used mud, bricks, and sticks.
- The differences of the houses in the neolithic time and today are back then we used weak materials and today we use strong materials such as, marble, stone bricks, and wood. We also had to use ladders to get into our houses and today we have doors.
- The similarities of the houses in neolithic time and today are they both protect us from harsh weather and animals. They both are big. Some of them used the same materials.
