- Over time this species of frog has developed a method to survive the winter through evolution. Now every year when before winter begins frogs start to store their urine
- Cell(s)
- As winter starts the frog goes to hibernate. The water in the frog's blood starts to freeze. which causes their body starts to freeze. all metabolic activity goes to a halt.
- Genetic code
- As the body starts to freeze the ice sucks the water from all the cells. But the liver starts to produce large amounts of glucose and it mixes with the urine and blood.
- Growth(and development) and reproduction
- After the urine, blood, and glucose have mixed the cells are revitalized. The mixture rehydrates the cells and keeps the body stable
- Although at this point the frog is 2/3 frozen. And the heart and other organs have stopped functioning. They are still considered living because they are made up of DNA.
- This frog is a grown and developed adult. Therefore after its hibernation, it will go find a mate to reproduce with.
