- I wonder why he is telling us these stories...
- " Other seeds fell on good soil and brought forth grain, some a hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty. Let anyone with ears listen!”(NRSV, Mt.13:8-9)
- Why must you teach in these parables?
- Many do not perceive and follow basic principles ,but rather have the need for examples or justification for them in order to perceive and apply them.
- I understand why he is teaching through these simple stories now!
- This is how people are spread throughout Christian faith similarly to how the seed is sown.
- He is helping us to perceive this idea through correlating a relative idea to us that we might learn the lesson in detail and that we may apply it to our lives as well!
- Good news like seed that falls on hard ground does not flourish.
- The good news of Christ's Kingdom fell on rocky ground where people heard the word but quickly fell or withered away.
- The good news of Christ is often choked out by the worries and temptations of the world.
- The good news of Christ's Kingdom fell on hearts willing to hear the word and the word in them flourished. The good news was spread.
- Yes Jesus, now we understand that the more people take your word of the kingdom into their hearts, the more they will be given!
- Jesus, please tell us more!...
