- first, continental drift. continental drift is a theory where the continents were one mega continent but they drifted apart at one point. next, there are plates. plates are the pieces of land on the lithosphere that all land are on top of.
- so, in today's class i will be teaching you about continental drift,plates,bounders, land forms, topographic maps, and climates

- then there are boundaries. there are three types of there are divergent boundaries where two plates move away from each other. there are convergent boundaries where the plates are moving towards each other. lastly, there are transform boundaries where the plates are sliding past each other
- next, there are the land forms caused by the boundaries. divergent boundaries land forms are rift valleys and mid-oceanic ridges and it also causes seafloor spreading is where two oceanic plates move apart from each other making magma rise also causing a mid ocean ridge.
- then, the land forms caused by convergent boundaries are mountains,volcanos, and trenches from Subduction zones. Subduction zones are where the two boundaries meet. transform boundaries land forms are fault lines, and rift valleys.

- next, a cold and warm front. a cold front causes cold air to come in and a warm front being in warm air. then there is low and high pressure. low pressure causes storms and high pressure causes a clear sky.
- next, this is a topographic map. It shows a birds eye view of a mountain. and this class is a weather map.
- next, i will talk about something that can affect a city. first, latitude can change the weather and temperature in San Antonio. second, altitude can also change the weather and temperature. lastly, distance from the ocean can cause a San Antonio to become hot and moist.
