- Although it was extremely hard for Gina's parents after finding out she was diagnosed with Lemli-Opitz Syndrome, they took their pain and turned it into strength to be the best parents they could be to take care of Gina. As a teacher, making sure to treat students equally no matter what is important.
- Gina's parents always made sure to fight for Gina to be treated just as any other child is, despite her condition. They made sure to always allow Gina to feel equal with others and to get her the best help she can get no matter what. As a teacher, it is important for us to give our students all the support they need despite their differences.
- Although it is a challenge, Gina's mom and dad continue to work hard while helping Gina growing up. Although they have worries, they are hopeful for Gina's future and are willing to continue to do anything it takes for Gina to succeed. As a teacher, it is important to give families in these situations as much support as they may need. It is also important to reassure these families that they are not alone going through this journey.
