- A Priest by the name of Zoroaster created the religion "Zoroastrianism" after he received a revelation that the world was ruled by one god, Ahura Mazda.
- Little did Zoroaster know he would have such a huge effect on the modern world. There are 140,000 followers worldwide today.
- Legends about this man arose- about how he was born by a virgin mother, and received a revelation in the desert at 30
- Zoroaster spent most of his life preaching this revelation and converted people in Iran(Persia) and Iraq(Babylon).
- Angra Mainyu - Ahura Mazdas polar opposite. Angra Mainyu represents chaos and evil, he is almost as powerful.
- Today people still fear him. They still practice this religion but without a "leader" like Zoroaster. They even do ritual washing of their bodies.
- They had a 12000 year battle... This led to much terror and death.
- From all of this death, they developed a way to "dispose" of their dead. They place their bodies on a Dakhma, the top of a circular open air tower.
- They then leave the bodies to be eaten by scavengers- giving them back to nature.
- You will be judged on whether you will to go to Heaven or Hell...
- The soul of the deceased is accompanied by a "guardian angel" to the Bridge of the Separator. There, they will be judged and put in to Heaven or Hell.
