I'm OK Liz... just wish that we could learn something interesting for once!
It's definitely important to differentiate instruction by  leveraging students' interests
Mr. Peters, I loovvee English class, but I don't think Gabriel is as enthusiastic
Hmm, let's change that!
Gabriel, Elizabeth tells me that you don't like English class, yet you're doing well in it!
I just wish that we could read more comics or graphic novels since those are my interests
Hehe - I'm the best friend EVER!
Hi, class. Some of you have expressed that you would like to learn English in different ways - ways that appeal more to your interests.  This is what prompted me to survey your interests earlier today. The survey also revealed that so many of you are interested in comics and graphic novels! Tomorrow's class, therefore, will feature comics and graphic novels
YES! So excited!!!
Visual representations of texts, emotions, and themes can go a long way in teaching students to seek a deeper more critical understanding of concepts
Hmm, wonder if I can bring some of my favourite comics to class tomorrow
Comics and graphic novels offer excellent enhancements to learning. They can be used not only to support visual learners, but also in instances where students struggle to understand complex topics
Sure! Next class, you will have a chance to share some of your favourite comic book stories, and we will be exploring different styles of dialogue and communication in the literature
Sir, could we bring a comic we like to class?     Ya sir, could we?
You bet, Liz!! I've got my comic book and I'm ready to go! :)
What's up with you today, Gabriel? You seem to be in a rush to class!!?!
