- Washington is talking to his men and telling them that they are going to board the boats at 5:30pm so they can get there when it’s still dark outside
- At 5:30 they start loading the boats and it takes them a very long time to do so
- It was very cold, so they were really cold and some even got frostbite
- They get there at day time because they took a very long time to load the boats
- Then not too long after they got there they started fighting, lots of the other people died
- None of the colonists died during the fight and they won because their leader died and they surrendered
