- In 1884, Hideki Tojo was born into a poor samurai family in Tokyo. His father was a samurai, later an army officer. His mother was the child of a Buddhist Priest.
- He had a normal education for a Japanese boy at the time, he went to military school. In 1902, he graduated, he was the second lieutenant in the Imperial Japanese Army (IJA) Infantry.
- In 1928, he became bureau chief of the Japanese Army.Later, he was promoted again to colonel.

- In 1934, he was promoted to Major General and then commander that same year. The year after, he was the top command for the Japanese military police.
- He became more politically relevant as he was a nationalist and a militarist. He was a very quick decision maker which also contributed to his likeability.
- The Prince was supposed to be the one in charge of the army and navy, so he was recommended as the leader after the previous passed away. The Prince said, "It was unfit for royal blood to wage war," so he appointed Hideki Tojo as the Prime minister of Japan.
- Tojo, with the help of Naval Commander Osami Nagano and Admiral Yamamoto, the Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor. This started a war with the Americans and the British and ultimately led to their downfall.
- Tojo, of Imperial Japan, became allies with Hitler of Nazi Germany and Mussolini of Fascist Italy.
- Tojo became enemies with the USA, Great Britain, and the Netherlands when the declared war during the Pacific war AKA WWII in Asia.
