- Militarism is the belief that the military and the army is right, and that war is right to solve problems like national conflict.
- What is Militarism's history?
- Militarism started in the time when the army was just invented, because if there was no militarism, there would be no army because people would not believe that the military was right.
- Why do Quakers feel a need to challenge Militarism?
- Quakers believe that there is that of god in everyone. this means that no person should think about themselves above others.
- People who might be pro- Militarism are army generals or leaders, or heads of countries or towns.
- Can Militarism be effective?
- If people didn't have belief in militarism, then the world would actually be a much more peaceful place, with barely any wars, if any.
- What methods have Quakers used to challenge Militarism?
- But how does this realte to militarism? Well, if everyone is equal and has that of god in them, then that means that war should be stopped as nobody should deserve to die if everyone is equal.
- Idea of way to stop militarism
- However, do you think that militarism is effective? It can be based on opinion whether you think so.
- Some people say that militarism can be effective, but really, it can cause a lot more bad than it can good. For example, it can end wars, but also mostly starts them, and people get killed.
- If anything, Quakers are against militarism, as quakers believe everyone is equal and peace is the central motive in anything.
- Quakers have tried to challenge militarism by making and publicly showing truths to people to teach people about how militarism is. This is effective because if you show people, especially young children something, they will believe most fictional things they see unless they already have an opinion on it.
- What methods do you think can happen to stop militarism?
- I think a way to stop militarism is simply by teaching people what it does, and even what it can do, and telling people that it is a massive impact on the Earth's deaths and the world death rate.
