- I needed to find a way to wake up earlier!!!
- Welcome to the home of Levi Hutchins where he designed the first alarm clock!!!
- I am here with some of the workers here at Warren clock company where they designed the first battery powered clock!!

- In 250 b.c. the Greeks came up with a new way of telling time. By using a dish and water to tell the time. Once the Clepsydra got more advanced they ended up putting a clock face so it was even easier. This was a better way than sundials because they could be used any time of the day!
- Moving further in time, in 1787 a young man named Levi Hutchins needed a better way to wake up earlier so he built off of past ideas such as the clock face but added his own little things to make it work to his advantage. It could only ring at one time and that was 4:00am!! Soon after one that could ring at any time was created. Although it was not the most accurate it worked!!
- Around 125 years later the Warren Clock Company created the first battery powered clock. It made it so much easier to tell time rather than the many clocks before such as the two that I mentioned earlier and they built off of those to make a better clock.
