  • Wait, Really? Is it because that the massive casualties on the front? Are we losing?!

  • The causes of the Russian Revolution includes the lack of resources on the front, the economic status in Russia, and the fatalities in WWI. The personal control (30 August 1915) of Czar Nicholas II of the army on the frontlines in WWI was a short term cause.
  • Treaty of Brest-Litovsk
  • I signed a treaty with Germany called the Treaty of Brest-Litovsk to leave WWI peacefully to prevent any further damage!
  • Thousands of women from different regions marched for better economic conditions and food. It lead to the abdication Czar Nicholas II (March 15, 1917), bringing an end to the Romanov Dynasty, and lead to the Duma establishing the Provisional Government.

  • Effects of the Russian Revolution
  • After the Russian Revolution, there was high level of death toll, a decrease in industrial production, and a rise in communism.
  • On March 3, 1918, Lenin led the signing of the Treaty of Brest-Litovsk with Germany to allow it to peacefully retreat from WWI. However, even though this prevented further damage of the war to Russia, it led to a large amount of territory being given to Germany, which many opposed to.

  • These are just some problems that the Bolsheviks would need to solve. Some positive impacts such as health clinics and daycare centers also resulted from the actions the new government had made.
