  • End the Blackout PSA The public health topic: Mental Healthcare Access and Stigma Relief for African American MenThe SOCO: Increase mental health access and provide stigma relief for African American men aged 24 to 34 years old in Southern California. After watching our PSA, the men should want to make the first step towards seeking sound mental health treatment by calling to connect to a support group. The audience segment: African American men aged 24 to 34 years old in Southern California

  • Andre sits at the kitchen table with a flat affect. The scene is in black and white. VO: A woman (his mother) yells off screen in a demanding voice
  • Reminder: Zoom Meeting Support Group
  • Andre is at work looking tired and frustrated. Still black and white. VO: His boss yells off screen.
  • Andre is walking through the door back home. As soon as he gets home his mom is yelling at him again off screen. Still black and white.
  • Andre is alone in his room. He finally expresses his sadness and frustration. He feels helpless and alone. Still black and white. VO: Andre's inner monologue "Why is everything so hard?! Why am I like this?"
