- Chapter 1- My Family
- Hi! My name is Rui. I am half-Portuguese and half-Filipino. My family migrated to Portugal January of 2019.

- I have been moving from places to places since I was a baby. But before we get there let me introduce you to my parents first.

- Ola! My name is Rozy. I was born and raised in Manila,Philippines

- Ola, my name is Tiago. I was born in Portugal but I was raised in Portugal, South Africa and Macau.

- My name is Katy, I am a toy poodle. I lost my best buddy Milo, a Shih Tzu last December that is why he is not here now.

- We all migrated here from the Philippines last January 2019.

- My mother loved music. After finishing university , she pursued a career in music. Se was a singer and a guitarist. She wanted to take her music in an international level, so she moved to Hong Kong, then SIngapore, then Taiwan, then Macau to perform with a band and earn money.

- In Macau was where I met Tiago!

- And she pursued all her passions!!! My mom went back to the Philippines when she was 28 years old to learn to be a dive instructor and then later on to flight school to be an airline pilot!She was an Airbus A320 pilot for CebuPacific AIr.

- Hi,my name is Tiago. I was born in Portugal. When I was 6 years old, our family moved to South Africa, Pretoria because my dad works for the Air Force and e was assigned there

- I'm tired of traveling, maybe I shoud pursue my passions.....I will be a dive instructoer and a pilot!!!
- When I was 18 my dad was assigned to be the military attache in Macau so we moved to Macau.
- When my dad's assignment in South Africa finished, we moved back to Portugal where I went to St. Dominics International School.

- At the age of 23 I wanted to pursue a career as a pilot so I moved to Melbourne, Australia

- When I finished flight school, I went back to Macau and worked for Air Macau.

- This the time that I met Rozy who was working at the Mandarin Oriental as a musician.

- After a few years, my Mom and Dad married each other, my dad moved to Singapore to work for JetStar Asia, my Mom stayed in the Philippines to work for Cebu Pacific Airlines
- I wasn't so happy in Hong Kong. It was very crowded and small so we decided to move back to the Philippines when I was 5 years old. I studied at the German European International School of Manila!
- Chapter 4 - My Arrival In This World.
- When I was 8 years old, my parents decided that I should have at least an attachment to my Portuguese roots. My Portuguese grandparents were getting g old as well so I we decided to move to Portugal. Since then, I have been studying at St Dominic's International School and learning the Portuguese language!!
- Soon after they got married I was concieved and born, my Mom took a break from flying and moved to Singapore
- Chapter 5- How Migration Affected Us
- Moving to Portugal wasn't too bad for me because I moved to another International School. I miss my friends though every time I move to a new school.
- I was a sickly baby and needed surgery for my kidney. The surgery could only be performed in Hong Kong so my Mom and Dad didn't have a choice but to move in Hong Kong. My Dad started working for Hong Kong airlines and my Mom quit her job as a pilot to take care of me.

- I have been moving around Asia for a long time for economic reasons. Hong Kong, Singapore, Taiwan and Macau were very easy because they are International countries with English everywhere and advance adaptations for foreigners. I don't like it in Portugal because everything has to be translated and most people are not open to foreign language.

- As a son of a Colonel in the Air Force and a military Attache, our family has been forced to migrate to a lot of countries, for me it helped me a lot increase my world knowledge and communication/English skills which benefitted me a lot in my work and in my view of things.
