- The Impressment ActBritish soldiers would kidnap American sailors from the ports their ships and take them back to Britain to join the Army and work on their ships.
- Embargo ActThomas Jefferson had the bill for the Embargo Act drafted to Congress it was accepted. It had banned all international trade due to the American sailors being abducted in an attempt to still remain neutral in the war between France Britain
- British aid to Native AmericansThe British had joined forces with Native Americans for more assistance against the U.S for war in exchange for the promise of them getting their land back.
- War at SeaOnce the United States declared war on Great Britain, many conflicts place in the water, such as the Battle of Lake Erie and in 1807, where a British ship named the Leopard attacked an American naval ship called the Chesapeake, off the coast of Virginia
- The Battle of Lake Erie A battle between America the British. The battle ended up with the U.S. being victorious, while the British had tp leave Detroit which made it possible for the U.S to take over Lake Erie and the territorial northwest.
