- Beneatha comes back from Africa, where her family is surprised to see her back so soon. They hush her, for her baby niece is sleeping.
- Walter meets Helen. Helen is Lindner's wife, taking position in the Clybourne Park Improvement Association. She introduces herself, indicating she does work around the community.
- What's the problem?
- BULLIES!
- The Youngers come home after a long day of work, to notice that their house is completely covered in eggs.
- We will - WAIT, SOMEBODY TOUCHED MY GARDEN?
- Yeah.
- We'll get through everything.
- Mama is secretly listening in on Walter's and Beneatha's speculations on Helen, who they think egged their house.
- Travis stumbles upon a problem with kids at school who seem to be bullying him. Travis decides to open up about his feelings to Mama (Grandma).
- When all seems to be well, Mama is frustrated by everyone's problems, when Walter and Beneatha come to the realization that all will be well. Ironically, they come to discover that their backyard was breached, where Mama's garden was destroyed.
