- In the summer before eighth grade, I got my first every crush on a girl, Maya Hawke in Stranger Things.

- I went online, searching up if this made me gay. Somehow, some people online said it didn't. I also confided in my closest friends at the time, and despite what they told me...

- I thought back to when I was little, and how boy crazy I was. Maybe I looked at girls too, but not in the same way I looked at guys, right?

- Nah...
- I told myself that I wasn't, and I lived in denial for almost a year.
- Glida: 5
- Woah, I was wrong...
- Then, not too long before freshman year of high school started... I got another crush on a girl, this time a friend of a friend. I couldn't deny it any longer, and in that year of denial, many things had become clear to me. I was bisexual.

- I told my parents first, and my mom pretty much knew. I had had a phase years before where I read a ton about LGBTQ people and talked about it, and so it wasn't much of a surprise. My dad didn't care either.

- On the freshman retreat, I told my new friends, and they were all fine with it too. I even met another girl in my grade who said she was bi, too, and I felt a little less alone.

- Today I'm happy with who I am, and I understand how lucky I am to be surrounded my people who love me regardless. Love is love.
