  • The Proclamation of 1763
  • Splitting us up will hopefully stop the fighting and tension between us Indians and the settlers..
  • This isn't fair to us colonists, most of the east is already settled! We should be able to live wherever we want.
  • The Stamp and Quartering Act
  • These new acts are an efficient and intelligent way to pay of debt from the war! The British Government always comes up with great ideas, don't ya think?
  • Honestly, these acts are a violation of my rights. I shouldn't have to pay a single dime without a representative in the Parliament! I also don't think I should have to provide for the troops, it's my own life here. I shouldn't be controlled by Britain.
  • The Townshend Acts
  • So, about the new act... what do you think? I think tax is an intelligent way to pay for our army.
  • The new duties violate my rights as a British subject. Same as the other acts, we still have no representative in Parliament, so we shouldn't be taxed!
  • King George III had to put a stop to the fighting between the Indians and colonists after the French and Indian War. He decided to draw a line at the crest of the Appalachian Mountains; the colonists stay east of it and the Indians stay west.
  • The Boston Massacre
  • I was acting in self-defense, a mob was antagonizing and taunting me!
  • The Stamp Act required colonists to buy a stamp for every piece of paper they bought, since they were in so much debt. The Quartering Act ordered colonial assemblies to provide British troops with quarters, or housing.
  • The Boston Tea Party
  • This protest should hopefully repeal the Tea Act, no taxation without representation!
  • The tea act is completely necessary to save the British East India company, they need the money!
  • Charles Townshend persuaded the Parliament to pass new laws that places a duty, or tax, on certain goods that were imported from Great Britain. These goods included glass, paint, paper, and tea.
  • The Intolerable Acts
  • You colonists should have consequences for the damage you've done. That tea was extremely valuable, and you ruined it!
  • The Boston Massacre was a fight that broke out between soldiers and colonists in Boston. Five Bostonians were killed, and others were injured
  • My innocent life was lost because of you. You had no right to fire at me! British troops should be removed from the colonies.
  • The Boston Tea Party was a protest in reaction to the new act, the Tea Act. The Tea Act lowered the cost of tea that was sold by the British East India Company in the colonies. However, the colonists weren’t fooled by this and saw the Tea Act as another attempt to tax them without their say. The Boston Tea Party was when the Sons of Liberty dumped around 90,000 pounds of tea into the sea.
  • The Intolerable Acts were made to punish Massachusetts for the Boston Tea Party. These acts consisted of closing all shipment to the Boston harbor until the ruined tea was paid for, placing Massachusetts under firm British control, and British soldiers who were accused of murder would be tried in England instead of the colonies.
  • The new acts are ridiculous! We're not paying anything for what we did!
