Carbon nanotube transistors
Reasoning
I chose this artical to review because unlike alot of people who are only concerned with the written information about a computer or a new software release, I've always been interested in hardware upgrades. I love to view the inside mechanics of computer and this article caught my eye for that reason
One Day at Pecking university...
Discovery
These new carbon nanotube transistors are incredible! They are smaller, faster and more efficient than even the smallest silicon tubes!
Practicality
Technicaly speaking, yes. But we can't really produce them until we have a more efffitient way of growing them. The process is to long and complicated for mass production.
But they took me so long to make! there's no way we could mass produce these... not now at least.
But the real question is, will we be able to test them?
Purpose
So, whis it important that you have these carbon transmitters anyway? What do they do that is so important?
Well, since you asked, the transmitters we are designing are capable of moving more charge with only half the voltage of a normal CMOS. The switch delay is also shorter, at a mere 70 femtoseconds.
Cooperation
I couldn't think of a way to make this a dialogue, but I felt it was important to mention that China is working in tandem with us to discover a way to produce these incredible transistors quickly so that everyone can use them.
